Learn Kriya

Kriya Yoga cannot be successfully practiced without being initiated by a Kriya Master or one of their authorized teachers.  It cannot be learned from a book or any instructions on the Internet.

There are regular initiation programs in New Zealand and Australia.

The Kriya Technique

The specialty of the Kriya Yoga technique is that it affects the simultaneous development of body, mind, and Soul in the shortest possible time.

Cosmic consciousness is spread all over the universe and pervades everything. Human consciousness is limited to the human body and its environment. To attain cosmic consciousness, it is necessary to expand the consciousness that resides in every living cell of the body and brain.

The simple and easy breath control prescribed in the Kriya Yoga technique restores lost equilibrium. The pure oxygen breathed in this process purifies the inner mechanism of the body, activates the limbs, and increases the appetite. It gives strength and youth to the body, and memory, patience and brilliance to the mind.

Sincere practice of Kriya enables one to experience the touch sensation, sound vibration and a light flash of the divinity inside one’s own body and helps to elevate the mind into supra-mental consciousness.

Kriya practice clears and stimulates the brain and gives strength. It also greatly magnetizes the body, saturating and feeding all its physical cells with undecaying light and keeping them in a magnetized state.

The Tradition of Kriya Yoga Purification and Blessing Ceremony

The ancient tradition for learning the royal science of Kriya Yoga meditation begins with purification. Students participate in a holy ceremony to purify the spine and the body. Each seeker is initiated on an individual basis through the direct contact of a teacher of this lineage.

The teacher directly infuses the triple divine qualities of sound, vibration, and light into the initiate. Through this process, the seeker learns to perceive the inner light of the soul, hear the divine sound, and feel the divine movement sensation all over the body. Sacred mantras are chanted throughout the ceremony with adequate explanations in English.

At the beginning of the ceremony, basic techniques for quieting the mind are taught, preparing the seeker for the infusion of divine energy. Initiation into the Holy Stream of Divine Consciousness is attained by overcoming the internal chatter of the mind. As the thought processes are calmed, it is possible to merge into the Divine in the form of sound, vibration, and light.

The instruction ceremony consists of the following phases:

  1. Purification of body, spine, and senses
  2. Infusion of triple divine qualities
  3. Blessings with flower
  4. Oblations of breath to the fire
  5. Affirmation
  6. Offerings to God and masters
  7. Sprinkling of the holy water of peace

The first phase of the ceremony purifies the body of the seeker. Further purification ensues from the breath oblations in the fire ceremony. This fire ceremony is outwardly symbolic, but causes cleansing to occur at more subtle, deeper levels. The depth of purification depends upon the desire and receptivity of the seeker.

At the completion of the ceremony, the first level of Kriya techniques is taught so that aspirants can meditate on their own and continue the process of purification. Several different techniques of Kriya Yoga are presented.
